Highway 63 Gateway CDC Logo Competition

The Highway 63 Gateway Community Development Corporation (CDC) is sponsoring a Logo Contest that will  creatively identify and describe the New Development; Redevelopment; Rebirth; or Gateway on the East Side of Waterloo.

There is a tremendous need for the Northeast Side of Waterloo to have planned development that will: revitalize the neighborhoods, bring businesses that will provide goods and services for the immediate area, and improve highway traffic circulation within and through the city.

The CDC wants to build a sense of community by completing its mission through the collaboration and cooperation of all levels of government; private sector businesses and financial institutions; neighborhood and individual citizens.

Emphasizing its commitment to the people who live and work currently and potentially in this area, the CDC is seeking your help with crating a brand new logo for their new Northeast Side development mission.

Logo Criteria:

1. There will be no age limit or geographical boundaries for entrants.

2. The Logo must be clear as it will be used on Web pages, brochures, banners, posters, stationary, T-shirts, road signs, etc.

3. The Logo will belong to the CDC, but submitters will have the right to use it in their portfolio.

4. The maximum size of any entry shall be 11x15 and mounted on poster board.

5. The CDC can reject all ideas if they feel none of the proposals meet the criteria.

6. A cash prize of $500 will be awarded to the winner.

7. Deadline for submission is April 12, 2008.

8. The winner will be announced April 30, 2008.

9. All submissions must be the original work of the entrant.

Restriction: Members of the Highway 63 CDC and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Logo Competition.
