An Analysis of the Characteristics of Wages, Occupations and Educational Attainment in the Context of Potential Underemployment - 2003
As OpportunityWorks conducted Brainstorming Sessions, major points of discussion centered around employment opportunities for residents, the need for better paying jobs, the need for jobs that meet the skills of residents and the need for a better educated and trained workforce. In order to gain a better understanding of the situation surrounding these topics, OpportunityWorks asked the Institute for Decision Making (IDM) to conduct an analysis of available labor force and employment data for this region. The result is a report focusing on three areas: an analysis of wages, an analysis of existing occupations and the educational attainment of residents with an examination of potential underemployment in the region.
